Lynda Sims

Lynda Sims, 68, of Morningstar Rest Home, passed away Thursday November 28, 2019. Lynda was born April 19, 1951 and was a native and lifelong resident of Jackson County.  She is the daughter of the late Mary Lillian Sims-Lusk and her step father, Duane Lusk .  Lynda never met a stranger and loved everyone she ever met, always had a hug ready for her loved ones.  She was referred to as the Morningstar Greeter.  Once she met you she never forgot your name. In addition to her mother she was also preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Harley and Thelma Sims.  She is survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Saturday December 7, 2019 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services. The family will be receiving friends from 10:00 am till 11:00 prior to the Service at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pine Creek Church Cemetery
