Margie A. Buchanan

She was a devoted and beloved wife, mother, grandmother and aunt, but also had a special relationship with almost everyone who knew her.  She especially enjoyed preparing generous meals for anyone visiting her home on East Fork.  Often, much of what was on her dining table came from the garden and livestock that she and her husband tended for many years. She was a charter member of the Deitz Memorial Baptist Church and was an active member the rest of her life.

 

She is survived by her children, Kay (Sam) Clemmons, Davis (Karen) Buchanan, Ann (Jim) Buchanan, Bruce Buchanan; grandchildren, Brandy Sutherland, Jeremy Buchanan, Carrie Buchanan; many nieces, nephews, and her pet steer, Oreo.

The Family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00PM, Thursday, February 10, 2022, at Appalachian Funeral Services, Sylva with a Funeral Service following at 1:00PM.
