Maria Esther Caycedo

Maria Esther Caycedo passed away August 2, 2025 at the age of 92.

She was born in Bogota, Colombia and at the age of 30 married Alvaro Caycedo and moved to the United States where they started their family. All her life she suffered with health issues, but her determination and tenacity to life kept her from giving up.  In her earlier years she loved to read and keep up with current events, she had a photographic memory and could quote verbatim. She enjoyed food, and talking on the phone to all her friends and family. She will be missed.

She is survived by her daughters, Juanita Helewski and Sandra Krause, their husbands, Lance Helewski and Scott Krause; her grandsons, Alex Krause, Austin Krause and Isaac Helewski; their wives, Savannah Krause, Karen Krause and Bethany Helewski. Also, survived by her great grandchildren, Valerie, Oliver and Maxwell Krause.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Alvaro Caycedo.
