Marian Faye Rich Clayton was called home by her Lord and Saviour on the evening of September 30, 2026.

Born, June 2, 1947 to Otho Rich and Hazel Crabtree Rich.

Marian had two children, Holly Gale Clayton Lagos—husband (Dennis Salazar Lagos), Lee Rich Clayton—wife (Lee Ann Bailey-Clayton).

Married, June 25, 1968. Marian and Jerry made their home in Durham, North Carolina; where Marian worked as a clerk in the Clerk of Superior Court Office (Durham, NC) for 10 years; and then turned her focus: loving, teaching and combining home, children, and church.

Marian’s love of the Lord spread to teaching, singing, church activities, and bus-ministries to bringing others to Christ.

Marian is survived by one sister-in-law, Clair Sandling Clayton (Wallace), grandsons, Chase Matthew Clayton, Dale Aiden Clayton Lagos, and, niece, Susan Eden Riggs.

Services will be held at Victory Baptist Church on October 5, 2026. Visitation: 2 o’clock in the afternoon, followed by funeral service at 3 o’clock, with graveside service to follow at Victory Baptist Church Cemetery.
