Mary Sue Anders Cypher

Mary Sue Anders Cypher, 94 of the Moody Bridge Community in Cullowhee, died Thursday, September 14, 2023,  after a short illness. She was a native of Jackson County where she lived most of her life.  She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Rosa Mathis Anders. 

Mary was a member of Trout Creek Baptist Church and a charter member of Mike Martin VFW Post 9493 Ladies Auxiliary. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Cypher, who died in 2014; seven brothers, Asbul, Hayes, Vernon, Cline, Arnold, J.L., an infant brother; and one sister, Ruth Barger.

Surviving are her daughter, Sandra Massingale (husband Tim) and granddaughter Abby Massingale, all of Cullowhee; two brothers, RV of Goldston, and Dwight of Brevard; one sister, Shirley Meier of Etowah; several nieces and nephews, including special niece, Betty Giles of Rosman.
