Maureen Catania

Maureen Catania, 66, of Sapphire, N.C., joined her parents in Heaven Wednesday September 17, 2014. Born in Providence, R.I., she was the daughter of the late Ted and Jovena Pontes. She attended and was a support to the Ark Church. She is survived by her son Justin Catania and fiancée Christina Wallen of Sapphire, NC Loving grandson- Austin Catania 2 Beloved Brothers- Barry Pontes of Pueblo, CO David and Gladis Pontes of Warwick, R.I. Her special nieces- Maureen Strickland, Jackie Allerano, Stella Pontes, Felisha Pontes, Ruthie Pontes, Jenny Pontes, Jovena Demar and Lorie Bachicha And one nephew- David Pontes Jr. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date and announced by Appalachian Funeral Services . .
