Michael Lee Bailey

Michael Lee Bailey, 61, of Whittier, passed away at his residence on Sunday, September 6, 2026.

He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to Sally Brown Gilliam and the late David Bailey. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Robert Gilliam, who raised him from the time he was three years old.

Michael had resided here in Whittier for almost three years where he loved to cook, fish, and the Great Smoky Mountains.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by four children, Robert, Jessica, Mike, and Katlin; seven grandchildren; and a sister and her husband, Yvonne Willbur and John; and two brothers, Joe Gilliam and David Bailey, Jr.

At Michael's request, no services are planned.
