Nancy Lee Cool

Mrs. Nancy Lee Cool went peacefully to be with the Lord on July 1, 2025, at the age of 83. She was at home with loved ones at the time of her passing.

Nancy is survived by her husband Gerald, her daughter Debra, son David, 5 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.

Nancy was born on 15 July, 1941 and grew up in Sumter, South Carolina. She graduated from Edmonds High School in Sumter in 1959. After her marriage to Gerald, she worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for several government agencies in North Carolina. She retired in Sylva, NC in Jackson County where she enjoyed her retirement with Gerald in the beautiful mountains.

A beautiful person who loved everyone, she was not only known as a great mother and wife but also as a great friend. She always had a smile and kind word for everyone she met. She was a faithful and dedicated church member who taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, and church quartet and gave willingly to anyone who needed help.

The service is coordinated with Appalachian Funeral Services, and will take place at Victory Baptist Church in Sylva, NC on Saturday the 5th of July. Visitation will take place at 11:00am, and the service will begin at 12:00pm with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
