Nancy Lee Hammerly

Nancy Lee Hammerly “Nana”, 67 of Sylva NC, went home to be with the Lord on Thurday July 23rd, 2026. Born in Hamilton, Ohio on October 29, 1958 to the late John Joseph Hammerly Jr. and Naomi Louise Ratliff.

Nancy is survived by her two sons John Franks and Brian (Tiffany) Albury; four grandchildren Madisyn, Haiden, Jayden, and Gabriel Albury. She is also survived by her brother Gregory (Paula) and their three children; sisters Debbie (Charles) and their two daughters and Joyce Hammerly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her four brothers John, Gary, Larry, and David Hammerly; sister Margaret.

Nancy loved spending time with her family and people in her community. When she could, she loved to take bike rides and watch birds outside. Spending as much time as she could with the Lord by reading her bible.

Funeral services will be held on Monday July 27, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 prior to the service. Burial will follow in Victory Baptist Church Cemetery.
