Nora Christine Childers

Nora Christine Childers, age 89, passed on July 8, 2025, at her home in Whittier. Born on February 8, 1936, she was a faithful servant to the Lord. She was also the best “Mama” that Angela, Lynden, and Lyle could ever have. She spent a lot of her time on her knees in their behalf. She had 3 children, 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great grandchild on the way. Proverbs 31:28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed.

Her surviving children are Angela Nations (Keith), Lynden Childers (Martha), and Lyle Childers (Faye).

Funeral services will be held at 2;00pm on July 14th at Wilmot Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Ray Davis and Rev. Matthew Nations officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery on Sley Holler.
