Rhonda Parris Queen

Rhonda Parris Queen 60 of Cullowhee passed away on Monday March 13th. She was born on June 6, 1962, to Eva "Nell" Ledford Parris and the late Ronnie Jackson Parris. Rhonda was born in and resided in Jackson County all of her life.

Rhonda was the wife of Lester Queen for 42 years. She was the mother of the late Elizabeth "Dawn" Queen Nicholson, Erica "Denise" Queen Stephens, and Matthew Levi Queen. She was the Nana of Kaleb Stephens, Hope Queen, Carter Stephens, Allyson Queen, Kasyn Nicholson, and Kameron Stephens. She was also the sister of Shirley Crotts, Doyle Conner, Michael Ollis, Diane Price, and Becky Parris.

Rhonda's years of work in the food industry made her known and loved by many in the community. She was always smiling, talking, and spreading love.

Rhonda was a resident of the John's Creek Community where she took pride in her home, her flower garden, her koi pond, and mostly her family.

Gone from this earth, but never forgotten, Rhonda will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and acquaintances. Go rest high sweet angel, until we meet again.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday March 17th in the chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Rev. Carl Stepp officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening March 16th from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Queen Family Cemetery.
