Richard Brent Gosselin, 74, of the John’s Creek Community, passed away on February 9, 2024 after several months of declining health. 

He was born on October 6, 1949 to Richard H. Gosselin and Otelia Webb Gosselin. He was a member of East La Porte Grace Community Church and also a Deacon.

He was a graduate of Enka High School and AB Tech where he earned an Associate’s Degree. He entered the US Navy in 1969, served during the Vietnam War and later in the Reserves. He was licensed by the NC State Board of Heating and Air and the State Board of Refrigeration. He worked for the Bi-Lo Corporation in Mauldin, SC for many years in various positions including Facility Management Director.

In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brother James Edward Gosselin I, and nephew; Johnny Gosselin.

His is survived by his wife of 25 years, Fanny Queen Gosselin, a son; Travis Gosselin of Townville, SC, a stepdaughter; Juanita Gregg (Dwayne Dillard) of Glenville, NC, three grandchildren; Kayshala Gregg (Michael Resor), Kyndall Gregg and Kale Gregg; one great grandson on the way; sisters, Helen Clawson and Donna Huffman (Mark) of Conover, NC; A Special Nephew; James Edward Gosselin II (Amber) of Jackson, GA; A Special Niece; Robin Riley (Michael) of Daytona, FL; along with several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to East La Porte Grace Community Church, 338 Helen Zachary Rd, Cullowhee, NC 28723.
