Rita Adrienne Goffinet

Rita Goffinet, age 95 of Sylva, NC, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2024, in Bryson City, NC. She was the daughter of the late Fernand and Fedora (Garant) Goffinet of Fall River, MA.

She is survived by her niece Karen (Ellis) Lambert and her daughters Elizabeth, Meghan, and Jillian Lambert all of Cumberland RI, her nephew Fredrick (Teddy) Ellis of Attleboro, sister-in-law Cecile (Labrie) Goffinet, nephew Michael Goffinet of Spokane WA, niece Susan (Goffinet) Brown and her daughters Kaia Rosen and Mary Brown of Frenchtown, MT, her cousins Lisa Armstrong and Dottie Armstrong of Somerset, MA and devoted friends Kim and Mike Ensley and their children of Sylva, NC. She is also predeceased by her sister Pauline (Goffinet) Ellis of Attleboro, MA and her brother Jules Goffinet of Spokane WA.

 A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00am, Saturday, June 1^st  at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 316 Main Street, Bryson City, NC 28713.  Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River, MA.

 Friends and Family are invited to pray the rosary prior to the Funeral Mass at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church

 In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church for Children’s Catechesis.
