Robert Vernon Henry

Robert Vernon Henry, 81, of Sylva, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at his residence.

A native of Jackson County, he was a son of the late Guy Patrick and Grace Duncan Henry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Moore; a grandson, Nathan Ashe; and his siblings, Colene, Irene, Virginia, Ruth, Devue, Sue, and Frank.

Robert was a logger and a heavy equipment operator. He loved to hunt, fish, garden, and go camping. Robert had a big heart and loved his family.

He is survived by his daughter, Darlene Henry; son, Guy Henry; grandsons, Clint Holcombe, Brent Moore, and Cody Henry; great-grandchildren, Lily, Fisher, and Braylon Ashe; siblings, Ann, Hilda, Brenda, Marcy, Grover, and Sherry.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
