Robert "Bobby" Laws

Whittier - Robert Allison "Bobby" Laws, 74, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024 at Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital.

He was born in Swain County and was a son of the late Clint and Ruby Watkins Laws. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert Laws and a brother, Edward Laws. 

Bobby was a very gifted stone mason who loved to joke and reminisce. He was a very giving person who loved God and to read his Bible. He was willing to give to anyone in need and never expected anything in return. His heart was much bigger than he was. Bobby will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him, especially his best friend and companion of 20 years, Cathy Jones.

In addition to his best friend, Cathy, he is survived by four sisters. Barnell, Marynell, Norma Lee, and Polly; one brother, Wayne Laws; and three daughters.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Appalachian Funeral Services of Sylva is in charge of the arrangements.
