Robert Coleman "Coles" Leitch

Robert Coleman "Coles" Leitch, age 52 of Cullowhee NC, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2022.   He was born on October 23, 1969, in Baltimore MD, to Richard John Leitch and Deborah Jones Underwood.

Coles had many pleasures in life. He loved music, wine, food, kayaking, and Christmas.  Coles was full of life.  He was the consummate “party planner”.  He enjoyed getting the party organized and ready, then sitting back with a smile on his face, watching everyone enjoy themselves.  He was an avid bird watcher (…at least when the bears are not after the birdfeeder.).  Spending time with his family and friends was a high priority.

He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Robin; parents, Vincent, Sr. and Deborah Agro; stepmother, Leslie Leitch; children, Alexander, Jackson, Cora; siblings, Vincent, Jr, and Nora Leitch.

Since Coles was an organ recipient, he would have encouraged everyone to register as an organ donor.  While the decision to register as an organ donor is a difficult one, no one can dispute the tremendous need for such donors. Approximately 110,000 people in the U.S. are waiting for organ transplants, and the donation rate in some states is as low as 7%. Please register to sign an agreement that will let your heart, kidneys, liver, pancreas and other organs be used after your death in a way that helps the recipients lead fuller, healthier lives.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Appalachian Funeral Services, Sylva NC.

Robin I'm so sorry I've known you guys for so long and it breaks my heart so much that this has happened so soon in our lives. I wish with all my heart I could have known you guys later in life and spent time with you and your kids but the time I do have is so meaningful to me. I'm here for you and if you need me for anything please let me know.
