The following was put on Facebook by a very dear friend of Ron's and we would like to share it because he captured the real Ron:

My old friend Pap (Ronald Rearick) went to be with his Jesus today. Best Lee Norse 106 mining machine operator, top notch fly fisherman and fly tier, awesome coon hound hunter, deer hunter, reloaded his own bullets, Ham Radio expert, loved his dogs, enjoyed his motorcycle and later kayaking, loved his Blue Grass music, loved living in his North Carolina home, loved his friends and family. I should mention his love of God's nature and of his love of flowers. Thanks for Camp Pap. Hope to see you on down the road! Rest in peace.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Appalachian Funeral Services, Sylva NC.  Online registry:  https://www.appalachianfuneralservices.com
