Scotty Vaughn Higdon

Scotty Higdon, age 44, of Sylva died Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at home in Sylva. Mr. Higdon was born March 12, 1972 in Jackson County. He is the son of the late William Lee and Ellen Jane (Franks) Higdon. He is survived by his mother Ellen Jane (Franks) Higdon; two sisters, Julie Houston and Mary McCurry; a brother, Ernie Higdon; three children, April, Dolly, and Le Ann Higdon; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. His funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 3:00 pm at Zion Hill Baptist Church, with Rev. Eddie Stillwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Zion Hill Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at the church. . .
