Shannon Leslie Coggins, age 50 of Cullowhee NC, passed away on Friday February 17, 2023.   He was born on March 5, 1972, in Jackson County, to the Verlon & Clara (Webb) Coggins. 

Shannon was always smiling and happy.  He was a very good-natured person. He enjoyed bear hunting as a pastime. 

He will be dearly missed by his loving father, Verlon Coggins; sisters, Angie Parton (Randy), Regina Myron ( Anthony); grandmother, Lila McCall Coggins; uncle, Clifford (Gay) Coggins; uncle, Curtis Webb; aunt, Dixie Fish; aunt, Phyllis (Gary) Gibson; and many nieces & nephews.
 
Shannon was preceded in death by his mother, Clara; grandparents, Luther & Britta Lee Coggins, Hayes Webb; aunts and uncles, Dean Webb, Linda Webb Franks , and Frank & Mildred (Coggins) Whetstein.

A Celebration of Shannon’s Life will be held Sunday, June 25, 2023, from 3:00PM - 7:00PM, at East LaPorte River Access Park, State Rte 107, Cullowhee, NC 28723.
