Sheila Kay Mull

Sheila Kay Mull aka Mother hen, 64, of Cullowhee went to her heavenly home, on August 4th, 2024, at her residence, surrounded by family.

Sheila was a native of Jackson County and was employed with WCU for over 20+ years. She enjoyed spending time sitting on her porch, with family and friends, but most of all spending time with her most treasured gifts, her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry mull, of 42 years, 2 daughters Heather Messer (Aaron) of Tuckasegee, Emily Norman (Brandon) of Cullowhee, and one son Ricky Mull (Rebecca) of Sylva, with many more that she helped raise and called her own, 11 grandchildren, One nephew, Joshua Stephen of Cullowhee.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Alvin Jerry Mull Sr and Hester. One brother Alvin Jerry Mull Jr (Boone), one sister Deborah Stephens, and a grandson, Jayden Norman.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 8th, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Appalachian Funeral Home. The family will be having a Celebration of life at a later date.
