Shirley Ann Ashe

Shirley Ashe, 71, of Sylva went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 22, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Weaver and Bonnie Cunningham.

Shirley dearly loved her family and also loved to read. 

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her former husband; Joseph C. Ashe and one sister; Mary Sue Guilino.

She is survived by one daughter; Shelia (Chad) Anders, one son; Greg (Amy) Ashe, five grandchildren; Josh (Kaitlyn) Thomas, Dalton Anders, Emily Ashe, Ava Ashe and Joseph Ashe, and one great grandson; Braiden Wayne Thomas. She is also survived by four brothers; Bob (Pat) Cunningham, Tommy (Linda) Cunningham, Jimmy (Norma) Cunningham and Mike (Nancy) Cunningham, one sister; Linda (Horace) Snyder and several nieces and nephews. 

Shirley's family wishes to thank the staff and residents of Vero Health and Rehabilitation for their loving care and concern for Shirley.

A private, family memorial service will be held at a later date.
