Shirley C. Henry

Shirley Henry of Addie community went into the hands of Jesus on March 2, 2026.

Shirley was born on July 17, 1938 to parents Fred and Ella Nora Houston. She was one of 7 siblings. 

She celebrated 65 years of marriage to Jake Henry on January 20, 2026.

She is survived by her husband Jake, son Wallace (Janet) of Yadkinville, NC, son Keith (Tina) of Danville, KY, brother Fred (Alva), sister Joy (Mike), and multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her parents and multiple siblings.

Funeral services will be Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Appalachian Funeral Home in Sylva, NC at 1:00 PM. Family will receive friends from 12:00 - 1:00pm prior to the service. Pastor Kent Lowdermilk, Pastor Lloyd Fish, and Pastor Gerald Morris will officiate. Burial to follow in the Addie Cemetery.
