Sybil M. Dillard, 94, of Glenville, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at Skyland Care Center.
Sybil was a native of Jackson County and a daughter of the late James Lewis and Gladys Bryson Monteith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Bryan Dillard, who died in 1998; a son, James Bryan Dillard; two brothers, Edgar and Ervin Monteith; and one sister, Willie Monteith Fowler. Sybil was a longtime member of Cashier's United Methodist Church and loved canning gardening, and baking. Her greatest accomplishment in life was her family. She was a very loving MOM!
She is survived by four sons, David Dillard (Carolyn), Robert Dillard (Pam), Bruce Dillard (Carleen), and Dwayne Dillard (Juanita); four grandsons, Stacey, Jody, Brandon, and Christopher Dillard; one granddaughter, Tiffany LaFontaine; three great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and a sister-in-law, Marguerite Monteith.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 19, 2024 at Cashier's United Methodist Church with the Reverend Delbert McCall officiating. Burial will follow at Upper Zachary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
