Thomas Hampton Garrett

Thomas Hampton Garrett passed away Thursday, October 13, 2022. He
was a loving son and friend to many. He was born January 13, 1993, in
Asheville, NC and grew up in Sylva, NC.
Hampton is survived by his parents, Kole & Kim Clapsaddle; grandmother, Agnes Grasty; stepsiblings, Nikole Jasso, Nathan Clapsaddle; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was a graduate of Smoky Mountain High School and went on and got
an associate degree in Marine Diesel Technology. He lived several years
in Florida working on yachts of all sizes and falling in love with boating and
the ocean.  He then moved back to North Carolina where he worked construction.
He will be dearly missed by family and friends. For anyone who knew him, you
could not help but love him, for he was truly a “people person”.
A private Memorial Service will be forthcoming.  The family would like to thank
everyone for their thoughts, prayers, and good wishes.
