Thomas Marion Mathis

Thomas Marion Mathis, born June 12, 1947, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026, surrounded by family. Tom will be remembered for his love of family and his enjoyment of the outdoors.

He is survived by his sons, Marion Mathis (Stephanie) and Randy Mathis (Donna); two grandchildren, Colby and Tambry Mathis; his sister, Bessie Ammons; and his brother, Claude Mathis. Tom is also fondly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. at Balsam Grove Cemetery on Caney Fork.

Tom’s kindness, laughter, and love for family will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
