Timothy Shane Melton

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Timothy Shane Melton, an avid outdoorsman, skilled hunter and fisherman, devoted coach, beloved father, family member and friend.

Though his rifle has gone quiet and his boots have walked their last trail, we find comfort knowing he is hunting greener pastures now, where the sun always rises over the mountains and the woods are forever peaceful.

His greatest blessings in life were his family; Brittany Melton-daughter, Garrett Melton-son, Teresa (Robin) Starrs-mother, Gary (Sarajane) Melton-father, Dustin (Amanda) Melton-brother, Megan (Dustin) Cabe-sister, Chris (Lisa) Bryson-stepbrother, James (Bethany) Bryson-stepbrother, Galen (Taylor) Starrs-stepbrother, Nikki Mullis-stepsister, nieces and nephews- Hataya, Kemper, Rilee, Macie, Kynndle, Larkyn, Cole, Natalie and his special little buddy Trey as well as many cherished Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. He was welcomed into heaven by grandparents- Roy and Margaret Melton, Thomas and Rebecca Shuler, Uncle Roger Melton and Uncle Tommy Shuler.

A funeral service will be held for Shane at 5:00pm on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at New Hope Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at New Hope Baptist Church from 3:00-5:00pm prior to the service.
