Tommy Allen Melton

Tommy Allen Melton, age 50 of Sylva NC, passed away on Sunday December 19, 2021. He was born on January 20, 1971, in Jackson County, to Alfred and Gladys (Frady) Melton.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred.

He will be dearly missed by his loving mother, Gladys; siblings, Jim Ed Melton, Ricky Dale Melton, Debbie Duncan (Ricky); niece, Melissa Shuford (Bryan); great-niece, Abigail; great-nephew, Isaac; uncles, Paul and Arnold Frady; and many other extended family members

Tommy loved the outdoors. He enjoyed gardening and landscaping at East Fork Baptist Church, where he was a member. He sang bass in the church choir. Tommy enjoyed NASCAR, wrestling, and was very fond of the Oak Ridge Boys’ song, Elvira.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00AM, Tuesday December 21, 2021, at Appalachian Funeral Services, Sylva NC. Rev. Bruce Cannon from Bakersville NC, (Bear Creek Baptist Church) will officiate.
