Travis Akers, 38, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday July 28, 2019. He was the son of the late Richard Akers and Melissa Akers.
He loved gardening and all types of music. He was a giving person and loved helping people. He dearly loved his family and his sons.
He is survived by his mother Melissa Akers; two sons Drake and Gavin; and two brothers Craig and Christopher; several nephews and one niece also survive.
A Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday August 1, 2019 at Appalachian Funeral Services. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
