Walter Lloyd Wilkes

Walter Lloyd Wilkes, 80, of Bryson City, passed away Friday December 24, 2021.
A native and a lifelong resident of Jackson County, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Helen Robinson Wilkes. He was a Member of Cullowhee Baptist Church and he loved to bake, his specialties being fudge and coconut cake. He also would enjoy spending time at his second home on the lake.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years Linda Chambers Wilkes
Daughter- Shannon (Billy) Woodring of Cullowhee
Granddaughters- Brittney and Tori
Great Granddaughter- Allena McChesney

The family will be receiving friends Thursday January 6, 2022 at Appalachian Funeral Services from 5:00 until 7:00 pm
