Wendell G. Vann

Franklin - Wendell Garvin Vann, 73, passed away at Eckerd Living Center after a brief illness.

Wendell was born in Trenton, Georgia and was a son of the late William Wendell and Lois Sims Vann. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Kathy Sue Evett Vann, who died in 2019; two sisters, Wilma Dalton and Beatrice Sims; and two brothers, Eugene and Richard Vann. He worked for many years in the manufacturing business.

He is survived by two children, Troy Vann (Rebekah) of Alabama and Christy Wilkey (Kenny) of Tennessee; four grandchildren, Amber Wilkey, Brittany Wilkey, Jessie Wilkey, and Nicole Vann; three brothers, John, David, and Jerry Vann; one special niece, Maleigha Elliott; and several nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Appalachian Funeral Services is in charge of the arrangements.
