Willa Mae Greene

On Wednesday, June 15, 2022, Willa Mae Greene, age 84, a beautiful and kind lady who was a blessing to everyone that knew her, entered into her Glorious Heavenly home.
Mae was born May 12, 1938 in Jackson County to the late Cornelius Brooks and the late Leola Estes Brooks.
She retired from Buster Brown Textiles in Sylva and was a Charter Member of Mt Zion Baptist Church, where she was clerk for many years. Mae's strength and courage was an example for each of us to follow as she never gave up in her fight against heart failure. Let us think of Mae and remember that those we love can never be more than a thought away for as long as there's a memory they will live in our hearts to stay. 
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers; Bobby and Billy Brooks and baby sister Elenora Brooks. 
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 64 years and the love of her life, Clyde H. Greene of Barkers Creek
Two Daughters; Karen Greene of Whittier, NC and Kerri Abbott (Gary) of Franklin, TN
Two Grandchildren; Marissa Abbott of Atlanta, GA and Ryan Abbott of Nashville, TN
and a multitude of dear friends, and Clyde's family which were like her own.
Special niece Brenda Mathis (James), 2 cousins; Greg and Randy Brooks also survive 

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday June 18, 2022 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with the Pastor Tommy Ashe officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 12:30 till 2:00 pm prior to the Service at the Church. Burial will follow Services at Barkers Creek Cemetery
