William "Bill" Oscar Ashe

William “Bill” Oscar Ashe, 72 of Whittier, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2022. Bill was born on February 23, 1950, in Jackson County to the late Wade and Abbie Dockery Ashe. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, cooking, and camping. Bill loved spending time with his family. He will be missed by many.

 

Bill is survived by his daughters, Becky Conti (Vinny), Teresa Baldwin, Diane Koontz (Mike); son, Doug Ashe; his dog, Peaches; grandchildren, Abbie Buchanan (Jamie), Ashton Koontz, Harrison Koontz; great-granddaughter, Daisy Kaye Buchanan; sisters, Mary Dillard and Ellen Gates. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

 

A Graveside Service will be held at 1:30pm on Friday, November 4, 2022, at Ward Ashe Cemetery on Camp Creek Rd. in Whittier, NC.
