William Charles Gries

William Charles Gries, died Monday, March 27, at Blue Ridge on the Mountain nursing home. He was 89. A native of Chicago, he received his bachelor's degree in business administration from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, and began his business career with Grand Advertising, Inc. in Chicago before joining the U.S. Air Force in January, 1951. He served at Webb Air Force Base and was assigned to the 18th Fighter Bomber Group in Korea from February to December, 1953. After his service career, he returned to Grant Advertising until his retirement. He enjoyed traveling, music, and working with electronic gadgets.
