Willie W. Sherrill

Willie W. Sherrill, 91, of Whittier, went home to be with the Lord, Monday evening August 29, 2022
A native of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late JR and Alpha Williams
Willie was a lifelong member of Whitter Missionary Baptist Church and she enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and gardening. Willie was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother to her family, and was a very wise woman who lived a committed life to the Lord.  
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband James D. Sherrill, her son; James R. (Elmo) Sherrill, Her sisters; Nell, Carrie Ann and Vickie, and her brothers; Edgar, Elmer, Earl and Ray Williams. 
She is survived by her daughter; Cinda Sherrill of Whittier
3 Grandchildren; Amy Rae, Jesse and Amanda Sherrill
4 Great Grandchildren; Tayo James (TJ), Kahleesi Eve, Axel Cagle and one on the way (Veada Birdie Sherrill)
Her Brother; Rev. Keith (Linda) Williams of Rougemont, NC
Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive
A Funeral Service will be held 3:00 PM Friday September 2, 2022 at Whittier Missionary Baptist Church with the Revs. Terry Taylor, Keith Williams and Lewis Crisp officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 2:00 pm until 3:00 prior to the Service at the Church. Burial will follow at Swain Memorial Park.
